Kosovo joined RCC in 2013 with a decision by the Board being on equal footing with other regional participants in this organization and respecting the all-inclusiveness principle.
RCC is an important regional organization which serves regional cooperation and Euro-Atlantic integration of South East Europe, in order to spark development in the region to the benefit of its people.
Initially as a successor of Stability Pact for SEE it was set up to cover regional cooperation in the sectors such as economy and social development, energy and infrastructure, human capital development, justice and home affairs and parliamentary cooperation as an overarching dimension.
Currently it also coordinates the Multi Annual Action Plan for Regional Economic Area (MAP REA) endorsed at the Trieste Summit in the framework of the Berlin process on 12 July 2017 by Prime Ministers of Western Balkan six.
RCC serves also as an operational arm of the SEECP and its participants include all SEE countries, European Union, and several EU members’ states.
RCC Secretariat is located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and has a liaison office in Brussels. (more information can be found on www.rcc.int)
