Banjul, Gambia, 15 March 2018 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, H.E. Mr. Ramadan Gashi, has presented the Credential Letters to the President of the Republic of Gambia, H.E. Mr. Adama Barrow.
At a ceremony organized for presenting the credential letters, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Senegal, accompanied by the diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Avni Hasani, presented the credentials for being an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kosovo to the Republic of Gambia, with residence in Dakar (Senegal).
Ambassador Gashi, prior to meeting with President Barrow, was honoured with a parade by the guard of honour of Gambia state.
During the ceremony of credentials, Ambassador Gashi greeted President Barrow on behalf of the President and people of Kosovo which were addressed to His Excellency, the Government and the people of Gambia, and also expressed the highest consideration for the recognition of the state of Kosovo, as well as the advancement of bilateral diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level.
President Barrow expressed his gratitude towards Ambassador Gashi and the authorities of the state of Kosovo, and congratulated him on the solving of the dialogue and the peaceful path of Kosovo's relations with his neighbours, and also stated the attitude of the Gambia state to deepen their relations with the states that reflect democracy and peace in their international relations.
Thus, Ambassador Gashi emphasized that the state and people of Kosovo are building bridges of friendship with other people and peace-loving states.
President Barrow and Ambassador Gashi agreed on deepening bilateral co-operation and bilateral relations in areas of common interest.
The ceremony of presenting credential letters of the Ambassador Gashi to Gambia has also been reflected by the media of this country.
