Foreign Minister Pacolli: I welcome the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Barbados, while we will continue the same practice with all peaceful countries

Prishtina, 9 March 2018 – The establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Barbados is very important news for the further strengthening of Kosovo's international subjectivity in foreign relations and the best evidence that Kosovo's successes in diplomacy are unstoppable and irreversible. We will continue this practice of mutual diplomatic recognition with all countries that contribute to the promotion of peace and maintenance of international public order and security.

So has assessed the Deputy Prime Minister at the same time Minister of Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, after the ceremony of signing the establishment of diplomatic relations, which was done today in New York by the Consul General of the Republic of Kosovo, Teuta Sahatçiu, on one hand, and the Deputy Permanent Representative at Permanent Mission of Barbados to the United Nations, Juliette Babb-Riley, on the other hand.

The document expresses the wish of both respective countries to promote friendship between the two countries, expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation and support the cause of international peace and security.

It also reaffirms the commitment of the two Governments to the principles of the United Nations and International Law, including the common respect for national sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference in domestic affairs of any other countries
