Prishtina, 2 February 2018 – The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, received in a working meeting at the Foreign Ministry premises the US Congressman Steven Palazzo, who was accompanied by representatives of the US Embassy in Prishtina.
“We will always be grateful to the United States,” said Pacolli to the US Congressman, who is staying for a visit to Kosovo.
“In these 10 years of independence, we are trying to build a civilized society and we are moving forward, even though we have made mistakes,” continued the chief diplomat of Kosovo.

On the other hand, Palazzo extended his thanks for the hospitality of the people of Kosovo, “the place in which every American feels like home.”
During a warm and friendly conversation, Pacolli informed his interlocutor of his efforts to increase Kosovo's recognition throughout the world, an activity in which there is always cooperation and support from the United States.
Talking of his warm impressions from the visit to the US State of Iowa, Pacolli requested the establishment of contacts between Kosovo and the state of Mississippi, Palazzo’s electoral district, a state known for its agricultural tradition.
