First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, conducted his first official visit to the Republic of Albania, during which he met the heads of institutions, starting from the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli at these meetings with heads of Albanian institutions, discussed about the issues of common interest.
In addition to discussing about co-ordination of joint efforts in the diplomatic fields, and especially strengthening the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo, it was also discussed about common issues related to facilitation of economic and political cooperation.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli during the meetings with the heads of Albanian institutions has proposed to deepen the economic cooperation through the establishment of joint customs points, such as the one in Durres, and the facilitation of the free movement of citizens from both sides.
Regarding this matter, it was agreed with the Albanian side to work on joint border management according to European standards.
Also, with the proposal of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, it was agreed to hold a joint meeting of the two governments on 27 November 2017, on the occasion of opening of Year of Skanderbeg.
It was also discussed about the continuation of opening joint diplomatic and consular missions with the Republic of Albania in Copenhagen and Hamburg as well as the purchase of joint buildings.
