Prishtina, 20 February 2018 - In the presence of 600 guests, German Culture Minister Monika Grütters honoured the Kosovar director Visar Morina with the German Screenplay Award at the reception of the German Screenwriters Association at this year's 68th edition of the famous Berlinale Festival.
Mr Morina has convinced the jury with the screenplay of the film "Exil" which tells the story of a man of Albanian origin who feels betrayed and threatened, and thus received the Golden Lola Award which includes a 10,000 Euro reward. The "Exil" screenwriter brings the story of a 45-year-old man who works in a pharmaceutical firm. He is an Albanian family man who finds himself surrounded by enemies. A statement released by the German Culture Minister's Office states that the jury has chosen Visar Morina's "Exil" thriller as the best. Among the nominees were also the screenplays of "Nailowsky" by Torsten Schulz and "Je sius Karl" by Thomas Wendrich.
