Prishtina, 23 February 2018 - The film “Agnus Dei”, directed by Agim Sopi, has triumphed at the Medellin International Film Festival which was held from 12 to 19 February in Medellin, Colombia. At the most important event of the city with two and a half million inhabitants, the Kosovar film "Agnus Dei" has won the award of Best Film Category A, as well as the Best Actress Award in the individual category, awarded to Astrit Alihajdaraj.
Amongst more than 4700 films that had competed in this festival, eight films were competing for the top award. The festival, which in the 2018 edition had over 15,000 viewers, announced as winners the following films: Best Feature Film in Category A - "Agnus Dei" directed by Agim Sopi from Kosovo; Best Documentary Film - "El Perro De Ituzaingo" directed by Patricio Carroggio from Argentina, while the Public’s Choice Award went to the film 'Hola, Me Llamo Carla' directed by Gabriel Beitia from Spain. With these two new awards, Agnus Dei has collected 97 international awards won at more than 210 festivals all over the world.
