Prishtina, 5 March 2018 - On Sunday, the Kosovo karate fighter, Herolind Nishevci, has won the gold medal at the Serie A competitions in Salzburg
Nishevci managed to win a quite strong competition, and on the road to gold medal he also defeated a world champion. In total, he won seven matches.
The Serie A level is considered as the second-highest level in the sport of karate, after the Karate 1 Premier League, writes "Koha Ditore". Nishevci, who competes in the category over 84 kilograms in karate kumite fights, has eliminated in the first round, the Russian, Vasiliy Serebryakov. The match ended with a 1:1 result, but Nishevci was given a victory with a statement. In the second match he defeated Japan's karate fighter, Masaya Ishizuka, with a result 3:0, while in third match he triumphed with a result 3:1 against Danish karate fighter, Philip Carlsen.
In the fourth match he triumphed against karate fighter of Azerbaijan, Asiman Gurbanli, with a result 1:0, while in the fifth match he defeated the karate fighter of Iran, Jasem Vishkaei with a result 2:0. In the sixth match he faced the Serb, Slobodan Bitevic, the karate fighter who had won two gold medals in the 2010 World Cup.
