Prishtina, 6 September 2018 – The First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, officially opened the Fifth Ambassadors Conference, which commenced a two-day session in Prishtina.
In this event, which is considered as one of the most important in Kosovo on Foreign Policy of the Republic of Kosovo and in which the vision and the strategy on the future is presented, the top leaders of the Republic of Kosovo the President of State, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Kadri Veseli and the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj are anticipated to address the audience by their separate speeches.
After addressing the main speeches, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, will deliver awards to the Ambassadors retired from Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kosovo, whereas, the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pacolli, will deliver awards to family members of the Foreign Service Officials who have passed away.
The conference will then have sessions in four panels. In the first panel, there will be discussion on developments of international relations and their impact on the Foreign Policy of the Republic of Kosovo. The second panel will be related to security and defence in the second decade of statehood of the Republic of Kosovo, respectively internal and regional security challenges, transformation of the KSF and the NATO. In the third panel, the discussion will be about future steps of Kosovo in the European Integration process, respectively conclusion of the visa liberalisation process, Implementation of the SAA and the EU External and Security Policy and Kosovo.
The last panel will cover the topic on economic and global trends: challenges, directions and opportunities for Kosovo.
The Fifth Ambassadors Conference gathers international and local distinguished experts on foreign policy, members of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, the Ministry, representatives from the civil society, Ambassadors of the Republic of Kosovo accredited to various states and the Diplomatic Choir of the Ambassadors accredited to our state.
