Foreign Minister Pacolli continues numerous meetings at the UN, lobbying intensively for increasing the number of recognitions and membership to INTERPOL

New York, 27 September 2018 – With the aim of systematic lobbying for increasing the number of recognitions of the Republic of Kosovo and providing strong support for the country’s membership in the International Organization, the top diplomat of Kosovo has continued the implementation of numerous high level meetings on the margins of the regular plenaries of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

“The UNGA, or plenaries of the UN General Assembly with the presence of 130 heads of states and governments, is an extraordinary case for a country like Kosovo to show its existence, its work and its achievements!”, said the Foreign Minister Pacolli, making a summary of the meetings held, whether on the official agenda or other informal meetings of different state meetings.

“I met Australia’s new Foreign Affairs Minister, Marise Payne. After the official agenda at the UN Headquarters I also met many foreign ministers of African countries such as Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella; that of Rwanda Louise Mushikiwabo. I met Jean Baptise le Moine, State Minister for Europe and French Foreign Affairs. Many ambassadors, leaders of institutions gathered at Rwanda’s official reception. Then I met in a magnificent reception a lot of leading personalities of the United Arab Emirates, but also from other countries”.

“I met with the Foreign Minister of the Arab Emirates Abduallh bin Zayed Nahyan; the Foreign Minister Mohamed T.H Siala; Norway Crown Prince Hakkon Magnus; Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Affairs of the EBA, Mr. Mohamed Sharaf; Foreign Minister of Bahrain, Shakih Khaled bin Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa; etc.” said the second top Government official.
