Foreign Minister Pacolli meets the Deputy Secretary General of the UN, DiCarlo: UNMIK had a positive role, but the Resolution 1244 has no value any longer

New York, 27 September 2018 – The Mission of the United Nations to Kosovo (UNMIK) has played a positive role, but now the Resolution 1244 does not have any value any longer and Kosovo is a country with a very calm inter-ethnical environment, which should be transformed to the “joint house of UN missions to Kosovo.”

It was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, after a meeting with the UN Deputy Secretary General on political Affairs, Ambassador  Rosemary DiCarlo.

“I had a work meeting with the UN Deputy Secretary General on Political Affairs, the Ambassador Rosemary Dicarlo, during which I informed her about latest developments in Kosovo and I provided her our vision regarding the relations of Kosovo with the UN. I tild her that UNMIK played a positive role, but the Resolution 1244 has no values any longer and Kosovo is a country with a very calm inter-ethnical environment, which should be transformed to the joint house of UN missions to Kosovo,” said the Kosovo Chief Diplomat Pacolli.
