Foreign Minister Pacolli travelled to Armenia, he attends the Ministerial and the Francophonie Summit in Yerevan

Prishtina, 8 October 2018 – The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, travelled to Armenia this afternoon, together with a delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, where he will attend and represent the country in the Ministerial plenaries and the Francophonie Summit, which is held from 8th to 12th of October, in the capital of this state, Yerevan.

On the margins of this important international event, the top diplomat of Kosovo, Pacolli, is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts, who will attend this meeting, with the aim of considering the possibilities for further deepening of the mutual cooperation and the presentation of the request for support of Kosovo’s subjectivity and integration into International Organisations.

The Foreign State Ministers will attend the Ministerial, while this year’s theme of the 17th Francophonie Summit is “Coexistence in solidarity, sharing humanitarian values and respect for diversity: a source of peace and prosperity for the Francophone community”.

The International Organization of the Francophonie was established in 1970, while it consists of 84 states and governments (out of which 58 member states and 26 with observer status), which altogether represent one third of the United Nations member states with a population of 900 million people, including 274 million French speakers.
