The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Donika Gërvalla, received today at the airport of Prishtina the President of the European Commission, Mrs Ursula von der Leyen, who is staying in Kosovo.
During the conversation, the central topic was Kosovo's path towards integration into the European Union.
Minister Gërvalla stressed the commitment of the Government of Kosovo to fulfil the European agenda.
She also briefed the President of the European Commission on the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, which has promoted the necessary reforms that bring the country in line with EU standards.
At the meeting, they also discussed regional cooperation.
At this point, Minister Gërvalla reiterated Kosovo's commitment in the framework of the Berlin Process, noting that regional cooperation processes have a future only when equal treatment of all Western Balkan countries is guaranteed.
The management of the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic was also discussed, and Minister Gërvalla expressed the gratitude of the Government of Kosovo for the EU support in this regard.
