Prishtina, 8 September 2020 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj Stublla, on Tuesday, had a substantial telephone conversation with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, Ann Linde, whom she thanked for the support that the Swedish state has continuously given to European Kosovo.

Chief diplomat Haradinaj Stublla said that it is an irreversible fact that Kosovo is an independent state and is recognized by almost 2/3 of the world, and that now it is the turn of the five EU countries to advance their position by recognizing Kosovo.

“The agreement reached in Washington is a big step towards full normalization with Serbia, therefore, I asked for clarity on topics and a more dynamic timeline in the Brussels dialogue as well”, said Minister Haradinaj Stublla..

The topic of discussion during this conversation was also the free movement of Kosovo citizens in the Schengen area, in which case Minister Haradinaj Stublla expressed dissatisfaction that even after 8 years, there is still no clarity from the European Union on contractual obligations to Kosovo.
