Minister Haradinaj-Stublla talked with her counterpart Augusto Santos Silva, as Portugal's full support for visa liberalization for Kosovo is confirmed

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, talked on Friday with her Portuguese counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva.

Exactly 12 years ago, on 7 October 2008, the Republic of Portugal recognized the Republic of Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state.

"In a video conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva, we reconfirmed the good bilateral relations between the two countries, and the readiness to further deepen them in view of our European integration path", said Chief Diplomat Haradinaj-Stublla.

The opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Lisbon last year is the best evidence of the expression of interest in deepening ties between Kosovo and Portugal in all areas of common interest.

"Minister Silva confirmed to me Portugal's full support for visa liberalization for Kosovo, and promised that the support to Kosovo and the region will continue even during the next semester of the Portuguese Presidency of the EU", said Minister Haradinaj-Stublla, who received this morning her other counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Dendias.
