The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, held today a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Kosovo, Danijela Barišić, discussing the political developments in Kosovo and the region.
This meeting took place in the wake of preparations for the official visit of the Kosovo Foreign Minister to Croatia on 23 November.
Minister Haradinaj-Stublla and Ambassador Barišić were unanimous in terms of the need to strengthen the cooperation and the strong bond that exists between Croatia and Kosovo and the respective nations.
"Croatia and Kosovo share the bitter story of the journey to freedom and independence, which we have experienced together. Even today, while Kosovo is facing a revisionist approach to its suffering and history, there is much to learn from Croatia as a country and nation that was victorious in the war in the former Yugoslavia, now the best example in the region in terms of Euro-Atlantic integration", said Minister Haradinaj-Stublla.
After the meeting, she gave to Ambassador Barišić a symbol which represents the cause of victims of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo, an injustice that still unites our nations to serve the missing justice.
During the meeting they also discussed issues of regional development, expectations from the dialogue with Serbia and the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Kosovo.
