Cooperation between Kosovo and Saudi Arabia, including now in the field of health, was the focus of today's meeting held at the Embassy of Kosovo in Tirana, between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, and the non-resident Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Kosovo, Abdulmomen bin Mohammed SHARAF.
Minister Haradinaj-Stublla thanked Ambassador SHARAF for Saudi Arabia's political and financial support to Kosovo.
One of the points of discussion of this meeting was the possibility of getting Saudi Arabia's support in securing the PFIZER anti-COVID-19 vaccine the citizens of Kosovo.
"We have good political relations and we are ready to make further progress in deepening our relations by expanding the legal framework of cooperation in the field of economy, culture, sports, health, etc.", Minister Haradinaj-Stublla said on this occasion.
Kosovo Chief Diplomat and Ambassador SHARAF expressed the need to finalize the Memorandum of Understanding for Scientific and Educational Cooperation and the Memorandum of Understanding for Police Cooperation.
On the other hand, Ambassador SHARAF said that Saudi Arabia, in the framework of comprehensive support to the state of Kosovo, will now support it in the field of health too. In this context, the Ambassador stressed that a team of doctors selected by Saudi Arabia are expected to come to Kosovo after a few months, and they will serve the citizens of Kosovo free of charge.
