On Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, paid homage to the grave of the heroine Elfete Humolli, who was killed by Serbian police forces in the demonstration of 1 February 1990.
Minister Haradinaj-Stublla said that thirty-one years ago the heart of the high school graduate Elfete Humolli stopped beating. She was fighting for her childhood, which was taken away by Serbian forces.
“But she contributed for thousand other hearts to never stop beating until the achievement of her dream – freedom of Kosovo”, the Kosovo Chief diplomat was quoted as saying.
Following the homage to the grave of the heroine Humolli, in Lupç, Podujeva, Minister Haradinaj Stublla honoured her martyr brother, Mentor, who fell during the battle of Koshare.
“I paid a visit to mother Sevdije, at a family which is a symbol of long resistance and war for freedom and state”, said the Minister. She ended the visit by saying: “Eternal glory to the martyrs!”.
