Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, held today a farewell meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of Montenegro to Kosovo, Mr. Ferhat Dinosha, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Kosovo.
The discussion centred around the issue of furthering the close cooperation between our countries, where Minister Haradinaj-Stublla stated that the progress of Euro-Atlantic orientation of Kosovo and Montenegro is crucial for the security and the stability in the Balkans.
Head of Kosovo diplomacy and Ambassador Dinosha discussed the current political situation in politics and security in the country and region, as well as bilateral relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro.
Discussing these relations, Minister Haradinaj-Stublla stated that it is important to maintain relations and good cooperation between both countries by furthering joint cross-border and infrastructural projects, such as Deçan-Plavë road, which will boost the local economic development and international connections of the region.
This meeting highlighted the good relations between Kosovo and Montenegro and pointed out the role of relevant communities in their strengthening.
Head of Kosovar Diplomacy and Ambassador Dinosha discussed also the re-functionalization of the Development Centre of Montenegro in Prishtina, stating that it should serve all associations representing Montenegro in Kosovo, in the light of mutual cooperation.
Speaking of the situation in the region, Kosovo Chief Diplomat stated that repeated calls of Washington on Serbia for mutual recognition are welcomed, thus ensuring sustainable peace in the region and opening a new chapter of good neighbourhood with Montenegro and Bosnia as well.
Minister Haradinaj-Stublla extended special gratitude to Ambassador Dinosha for his work and commitment to maintain relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro.
