On behalf of the Republic of Kosovo and its people, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Ms.Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, congratulated the institutions and the people of Japan on the occasion of marking of the National Day, also known as the National Foundation Day.
In the congratulatory cable sent to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Motegi Toshimitsu, Minister Haradinaj-Stublla thanked her counterpart for the continuous support that his country has given to the state of Kosovo.
“Japan is one of our strongest allies in East Asia. Therefore, I am confident that our special relationship, bonded by understanding, trust and friendship, will continue to be further strengthened and developed between our two peoples, in all areas of common interest”, it is said in the congratulatory cable of Minister Haradinaj-Stublla.
On this occasion, while we are still combating the pandemic, the Kosovo Foreign Minister has once again expressed her gratitude for the donations that the generous Government of Japan has given to Kosovo for protection from COVID-19.
Japan recognized Kosovo's independence on 18 March 2008, while diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on 25 February 2009.
