The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, today hosted in a meeting the Hungarian ambassador to Kosovo, Jozsef Bencze, from whom she received congratulations for her appointment as minister.
After thanking the Hungarian state for the continuous assistance, Minister Gërvalla reminded that the good relations between Kosovo and Hungary date back not only from the recent period, but also from the historical developments in different periods of time.
In this context, Mrs. Gërvalla expressed the hope that these good relations will continue to be cultivated and will be further deepened, not only in the field of diplomacy, but also in education, culture and tourism. She expressed gratitude for Hungary's support on the Euro-Atlantic path of Kosovo.
The issue of discussion in this meeting was also the attempt of Kosovo on managing the Covid-19 pandemic. Both sides agreed that global mobilization and support is needed in order for the countries like Kosovo to provide sufficient quantities of vaccines for all citizens.
