Prishtina, June 9, 2021 - The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Donika Gërvalla, today held a virtual meeting with her Swedish counterpart Mrs. Ann Linde.
Minister Gërvalla emphasized that Kosovo and its citizens will always be grateful for the continuous cooperation and support that Sweden has provided to Kosovo over the years.
She highlighted Sweden's contribution through its presence in KFOR and also Swedish development cooperation.
While appreciating the excellent relations between the two countries, Gërvalla informed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden about the political developments in the country and the priorities of the new Government. In this regard, Minister Gërvalla stressed that strengthening of law and order remains a priority.
The topic of discussion was the deepening of bilateral cooperation.
The interlocutors also discussed feminist foreign policy and the need to exchange experiences in this regard and also to deepen cooperation in the field of culture.
There was also a discussion about the Albanian diaspora in Sweden, which was emphasized as being well integrated there.
Also the interlocutors spoke about the future of talks between Kosovo and Serbia.
