The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Donika Gërvalla, received in a meeting the new resident ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Kosovo, Mrs Minca Benedejqiiq, whom she congratulated on her new appointment.
Gërvalla also expressed the gratitude of the government and people of Kosovo for the continued support of Slovenia.
Together they discussed the numerous bilateral agreements and assessed that this cooperation could be further deepened, especially in the field of economy, with the purpose of creating new jobs, especially for youth and women.
Minister Gërvalla and Ambassador Benedejqiiq also discussed about the regional cooperation, current developments and foreign policy priorities.
Given that Slovenia holds the rotating presidency of the EU Council, Minister Gërvalla asked for support on the process of Kosovo's integration into the EU.
On her part, Ambassador Benedegciiq reaffirmed Slovenia's support for Kosovo and its journey towards the EU.
