The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, will visit Israel

Prishtina, 6 May 2022 - At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Yair Lapid, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, from 8 May will stay for an official visit to Israel.

During this visit, Minister Gërvalla will meet and talk with her counterpart Lapid, the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon, the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage, Zeev Elkin, the President of the Federation of the Israeli Chambers of Commerce, Uriel Lynn, and a group of migrants living in Israel.

During this visit, the main topics will be the advancement of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and current regional and international developments.

In order to deepen bilateral relations, four cooperation agreements will be signed, through which the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Israel will be committed to promoting and intensifying cooperation in the field of education, culture, economic cooperation, agriculture, water, science, technology, innovation, health and other areas of common interest.

Minister Gërvalla's visit to this country is the first of a Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, since the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo by Israel.
